Tractor driving

BMR offers Lantra tractor driving courses designed for both novices and more seasoned tractor users. Duration is from one to four days depending on the experience of those taking part.

The instructor will guide you through the theory behind tractor driving, with sessions on key health and safety issues. There will be plenty of hands-on experience behind the wheel covering basic operations and manoeuvring will be as well as using attachments, trailers and the power take-off (PTO) shaft.

The courses run as integrated training with assessment and you will receive a certificate of training once it is complete.

Expand your knowledge of the twin skills of tractor driving with arm-mounted cutting in our combined course.

We also offer a tractor driving course suitable for all younger tractor drivers (13-15 year olds) who are either new or have some experience in driving tractors in the agriculture, amenity, forestry, industrial and horticulture industries. This course does not include PTO and is not assessed. It is hugely popular and gives the young an excellent grounding to work from.
