White Corner Mask

We provide a range of both Lantra and City & Guilds Awards in ground-based forestry & arboreal operations. The basic course, Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-Cutting, provides an introduction into the use, maintenance and safety of using a chainsaw as well as practical training in cross cutting using correct PPE. A 1-day refresher course is recommended within 2 to 3 years for occasional users to keep skills current.

More advanced training includes basic felling techniques for trees up to 200mm, up to 380mm and over 380mm. And we can offer training in dealing with windblown trees and the use of pole pruners.

More information about the use of chainsaws can be found in the HSE chainsaw publication Chainsaws at Work.
