Are you looking to kickstart your career in warehousing while gaining a recognised qualification? Tarff Valley has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Assistant through our SCQF Level 5 Modern Apprenticeship programme.
As part of this role, you will support our Warehouse and shop teams with essential daily tasks, including managing stock control, warehouse cleanliness, receiving goods and organising customer orders.
Upon completing the apprenticeship, you will earn a Modern Apprenticeship qualification at SCQF Level 5. This is an ideal position for anyone seeking hands-on work experience in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
• Stock control
• Processing goods in
• Handling orders and receiving goods
• Organising and storing goods in facilities
• Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace
• Serving customers in warehouse
Ideal candidates will:
• Have a keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills.
• Be proactive and capable of working independently.
• Possess good communication skills to liaise with staff
• Be IT-savvy and a collaborative team player
Training & Development – throughout your apprenticeship, you will gain:
• Certificates in First Aid, Health & Safety, and Forklift operation
• Ongoing support and mentorship to help you succeed

Location: North Northumberland/Scottish Borders
Family run arable business operating on 400ha of owned land. Primary crop is milling wheat, with OSR, barley and vining peas in the rotation. Also run a small flock of lambing ewes and a commercial pheasant shoot. Conservation is a key consideration for this business.
Looking for someone enthusiastic and self-motivated to join the team and undertake a full range of farm activities including:
• Cultivations
• Spraying
• Fertiliser spreading
• Trailer work
• Combine operator for the right candidate
• Loading grain lorries and helping in the grain store (cleaning, inspection, documentation etc)
• Fencing
• Forestry
• Machinery and farm maintenance
• Conservation and estate maintenance
Required education, skills and qualifications:
• Full UK Driving License
• PA1, PA2
• Tele-handler
A chainsaw license, good workshop skills, PA4, PA6 and experience of using GPS systems would be an advantage but not essential. Additional training will be given to the right candidate.

Must be motivated, diligent, and reliable. Duties will include day-to-day stock work and tractor work, with every 3rd weekend on.
The farm has a pig enterprise with 350 sows and is looking to expand arable contracting business in SE Scotland. Stock experience would be an advantage whilst with pig not essential as pig training will be applied on farm.
The company has an ongoing training program for all employees and is fully compliant in all health and safety awareness programmes.
The farm is a 15-minute drive from the centre of Duns. Attractive package for the right candidate.
A motivated, diligent and reliable person required to join a small dedicated team on farm near Dumfries. Duties would include day-to-day stock work and tractor work as required.
The farm is one of three dairy/stock/arable units based within the Cowhill Trust Estate in SW Scotland.
